We rented a car and using a map and personal navigation skills drove through Tuscany in search of wineries. We happened upon Castello Vicchiomaggio. Even though we had not arranged a wine tasting and did not speak Italian, they generously welcomed us with an incredible charcuterie and wine. We were in heaven. This door is the entrance to the Ristorante and to me, captured the essence of Tuscany.
