"Liberty Enlightening the World". The iconic symbol of freedom in the United States. We visited Liberty Island on a crisp fall afternoon. The scale of the statue, a gift from France, can truly be appreciated up close. While many images capture the statue as a whole, I was interested in the details of her robe, her face and seven rays of her crown. The late afternoon sun illuminated these perfectly.
