The suspension/cable-stayed bridge crosses the East River between Manhattan and Brooklyn. After walking the streets of lower Manhattan we decided to walk across the bridge for more exploring. There were spanning views of both boroughs but most interesting was the web of cables that connected to the suspension towers. This one had an American flag on top. The setting sun against looming clouds provided brilliant lighting.
